At KIPP Public Schools Northern California, I spearheaded the comprehensive rebranding of our Stockton schools, taking ownership of the entire process from initial concept to final execution. The rebranding was built upon a foundation of strategic alignment with school leadership, achieved through a series of in-depth interviews that unearthed the core values and vision for each campus. This allowed me to craft a brand identity that not only reflected these values but also resonated deeply with the local community.
Extensive research into the cultural, historical, and demographic context of the Stockton area was a key part of my approach. This ensured that the visual language—spanning logos, color palettes, and design motifs—was both relevant and authentic, fostering a strong connection with the community.
I worked closely with a cross-functional team, fostering collaborative feedback loops with the subregional team to fine-tune logo designs, color schemes, and marketing materials. My role also extended beyond design to include project management, as I liaised with the construction company to integrate the brand identity into the physical school environment. From campus signage to environmental graphics, I ensured that every touchpoint was on-brand, consistent, and aligned with the strategic goals of the initiative.
